What is Notedpad++
Notedpad++ is a free (as in “free speech” and also as in “free beer”) source code editor for macOS. It is a native Mac application inspired by Notepad++ on Windows. Its use is governed by the GNU General Public License.
Based on the powerful editing component Scintilla, Notedpad++ is written in Objective-C++ and uses native macOS APIs. It keeps the compact navy toolbar of the classic editor, with line numbers, folding, bookmarks, and a tab bar that sit where they do on Windows.
